Shape of You – Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran released Shape of You” on the 6th January 2017 and I have to admit that I actually love this song! Originally written with bajan singer Rihanna in mind, it is evident that the catchy dancehall vibe would attract the singer however the lyrics were more suited to Sheeran’s playful nature.

With strummy acoustics, in the song, Sheeran sings over a marimba-fueled percussive sway about a budding romance. In the music video this romance was featured with unique face Jennie Pegouskie a model, dancer and creative actress based in America.

The song literally has the best bridge;
Girl, you know I want your love
Your love was handmade for somebody like me
Come on now, follow my lead
I may be crazy, don’t mind me
Say, boy, let’s not talk too much
Grab on my waist and put that body on me
Come on now, follow my lead..
The song also has one of the best choruses
I’m in love with the shape of you
We push and pull like a magnet do
Although my heart is falling too
I’m in love with your body
And last night you were in my room
And now my bedsheets smell like you
Every day discovering something brand new
I’m in love with your body
Oh I oh I oh I oh I
I’m in love with your body
Oh I oh I oh I oh I
I’m in love with your body
Oh I oh I oh I oh I
I’m in love with your body
Every day discovering something brand new
I’m in love with the shape of you
